We are looking for a Finance Analyst / Associate, Cost Engineering to join immediately in-person in Seoul, Korea. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the analytical backbone of the company's strategic finance team, providing insights for future growth and strategy
  • Report directly to the Senior Cost Engineer as part of Mitra Chem's lean full-time finance team that is cross-functional across Korea and the USA
  • Provide cross-functional support with exposure to all aspects of the business
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for various projects
  • Analyze project requirements and specifications
  • Develop and maintain cost databases and pricing models
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis to support project decision-making
  • Monitor and report on project budget performance
  • Review financial reports and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Collaborate with procurement to manage supplier contracts and pricing
  • Evaluate cost risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Prepare and submit cost control reports
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Performing monthly budgeting and re-forecasting for manufacturing projects
  • Build and manage operational and projection models for various manufacturing projects and integrate with company operating model
  • Support with fundraising efforts through diligence support and modelling efforts
  • Assisting in supplier and customer contract negotiations
  • This role will have a fast growth path for the right individual who would like to support the cost engineering side of finance with a desire to grow into the strategic side quickly 
 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional finance experience with a preference for investment banking, private credit, or private equity or working as part of a cost engineering team at a large conglomerate 
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or relevant work experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling (key requirement)
  • Ability to deconstruct often time ambiguous and complex problems, and drive to a data-driven and process driven solution
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting while keeping a high bar of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Preference for Korean and English speaker
  • Relentless sense of ownership, curiosity, and initiative and a self-starter mindset
